Local/provincial elections in Serbia (September 2004) were opportunity to use electoral machinery and achieve local policy on Roma. In this light, the Roma Centre for Democracy, as the local partner of the ODIHR CPRSI had conducted following projects:

1. The meeting of the political parties - oobjectives of the meeting were to analyze position of the Roma political parties in view of local elections (19 September, 2004) and to discuss possibilities for common strategy and political action in future.

2.  The project "Participation of Roma in decision-making process"

• Round-table aimed to lobby elected representatives of mainstream parties in Vojvodina to integrate Roma in the Vojvodina Executive and ensure the implementation of the Roma Decade.
• Consensus building process in post-elections period toward formulation of the local policy on Roma education in Valjevo.
